I am so over the moon to be interning at Points Group this summer! This is my first internship, and I am filled with the same excitement I had on my first day of school. I am ready to tackle new assignments that will not only broaden my general knowledge of marketing but also help me venture into the healthcare market.
Every time I drive to the Points Group office, enter the building and reach my awesome intern desk, I glow when I see my personal company mug eagerly waiting to be filled with coffee. I now understand why people love coffee so much … As I start my morning assignments, I crave that cup of Joe and feel it course through my veins, pushing me onward and upward to accomplish projects for the day.
My first big task was to schedule posts to social media for different clients, as well as research more about healthcare marketing. Obviously, I had questions, and I quickly realized I was in the right environment to ask those questions. Everyone at Points Group is so welcoming and friendly; I already feel a part of the Points Group family. When I need help, I know that the people around me are there and eager to assist. It was such a great start; I was almost sad to leave for a quick family trip. (Almost!)
I have since returned, ready and able to get back to work. Now that I know how to schedule posts, I now schedule and create the social media content for clients, which is very exciting. I am also writing a blog about concierge medicine. The blog is targeted towards millennials, so as a millennial myself, I hope to get the message across to people my age how fascinating and revolutionary this approach to healthcare can be.
As the summer unfolds, I am ready to let my creative juices flow and feel confident in the community and culture that is fostered here at Points Group.
