It’s been such a positive experience interning at Points Group over the past three weeks. I have had the pleasure of working alongside three other bright interns as we learn new marketing and communications skills together. So far, we have learned about search engine optimization (SEO), social media strategies and the healthcare industry as a whole. In addition, I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with Victory PR (one of Points Group’s partners), helping them tackle Microsoft Excel projects. I have also spent a lot of time mastering Salesforce, which is a customer relationship management software that most companies (including Points Group) use on a daily basis.
In terms of client work, I was recently awarded the opportunity to research our clients in order to work on their social media. This task excites me because it is my first time writing official social media content. I want to excel at this style of writing so I can help bring heavy traffic to client accounts. Social media is booming, and if companies can succeed on these platforms, they will appeal to the huge millennial generation.
I seem to have caught the writing bug because I am also writing a blog on concierge medicine and plan to start my own blog at home to improve my writing skills. Meanwhile, I’ve enjoyed writing my recap here.
