You can now create a post for your Google My Business listings (Google article here).
These posts display as part of the Google My Business listing information in the search results. They consist of the following:
- Photo (optional) – Minimum 344×344 px (Guidelines for photos)
- Post – 100-300 words (Guidelines for content)
- Event (Optional)
- Event title
- Start & end date
- Start & end time
- Button (Optional) – The button is linked to a webpage of your choosing. It looks like you can link to 3rd party sites. You have the following options for button text:
- Learn more
- Sign up
- Get offer
This update gives local businesses a chance to stand out and call searchers to complete an action, whether it be registering for an event or signing up for a newsletter. This is certainly something worth testing out with your business.
