I was not sure what to expect when I first walked through the door. (Well, I actually walked into the wrong building, but I eventually walked through the Points door.) Upon entering, I was surprised to see everything was already set up for me on my desk. I was greeted with open arms and shown around the office where I was shocked to see the scooters (they help us zoom around). The scooters brought up a distant memory from middle school—riding my razor scooter down the street with my friends—and I suddenly felt at ease.
As I settled into my workspace on Day 1, I was given multiple assignments and responsibilities: creating and editing the patient experience presentation and managing the intern blog postings. I remember by day’s end, we were about to start Salesforce training, but you could see the exhaustion on everyone’s faces (including the mentors). It was a lot of information to disseminate and absorb. So, we did Salesforce on Day 2, and I was amazed to see how much businesses can accomplish with it. In fact, I started performing modules and projects on Trailhead, where I received four badges for Salesforce training.
Since then, I’ve written a blog connecting one of our clients to men’s health month. (I found this challenging at first because it was my first blog, but once I started, it was enjoyable.) I’ve also worked on SEO and social media posts. I have to say that, so far, I am very pleased with everything that Points Group has to offer. I am eager to finish my social media posts and take on new projects … now that I’ve mastered walking through the right door.
